Abbotsbury is a unique peaceful village steeped in history. If you are looking for a family day out in Dorset then Abbotsbury has some lovely places to go and fun activities for children. The main village of Abbotsbury is surrounded by rolling countryside and has some pleasant coastal walks. In the village you will find quaint shops and relaxing places to eat. One of the main attractions in Abbotsbury is St. Catherine's Chapel, which can be seen from miles around. This small chapel, built on a hill in the 14th century, is made entirely of stone and overlooks the English Channel.

The village of Abbotsbury has evidence of settlement as far back as 6000 years ago. Situated in the south west of Dorset, this area is of great archaeological interest.
