Avon Heath Country Park is the largest country park in Dorset. There are miles of tracks and walks around the heath to explore and enjoy. The park mainly consists of heather and heathland with a few trees. Some of the walks are buggy friendly with most areas being on hard ground with some gravel patches.

The north park contains the visitor centre, cafe, toilet facilities and a large pay and display car park. There are a number of waymarked trails of up to 2½ miles in length. The south park has views across to the coast and inland a panorama of North Dorset.
