Walks around Weymouth
Where to walk and what to do in Weymouth, Dorset.
When visiting Weymouth we strongly recommend that you take a walk along the main promenade past the beach, harbour and town. The beach has the traditional attractions of an English seaside resort. The harbour has a walk around the waters edge and the town feels like you are stepping back in time.
Weymouth is not just your typical tourist destination. It also has areas of natural quiet beauty. Lodmoor Nature Reserve is just a few minutes walk from the town centre. The best way to reach the reserve is to park for free on Bowleaze Coveway and walk to the reserve.
Lodmoor Country Park is next to Lodmoor Nature Reserve and is a haven of tranquillity. It’s a perfect location to have a picnic or to escape the hustle and bustle of the main town. The park also contains many attractions for a family day out such as Sealife, a model railway and a pitch and putt area.
