Dorset is a popular holiday destination positioned on the south coast of England. The county town is Dorchester but the area is probably best known for the towns of Bournemouth and Poole. Tourists from all over the world visit Dorset, with the area receiving over 18 million visitors a year. Dorset is famous for its natural land forms, known as the Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. These sites include such places as the Isle of Purbeck, Lulworth Cove, Durdle Door and Chesil Beach.

The climate in Dorset is generally good, with warm summers and mild winters due to its position of being the most southern county in England. As a result many holiday makers flock to the area to enjoy some of the best beaches in the UK. Both Bournemouth and Sandbanks have miles of golden sandy coastline to enjoy.
