Where to walk and what to do in Worth Matravers, Dorset.

Worth Matravers has multiple walks with a variety of different views and terrain. Chapmans Pool is an idyllic place and due to its remoteness is generally always quiet and peaceful with no crowds. There are many walking routes available to reach this destination, we recommend walking through the Village to the small play area. From here Chapmans Pool is well sign posted. Walking in this direction allows some dramatic views over the bay.

St Aldhelms Head is another dramatic coastal point in Worth Matravers. Walking through the village, take the route to Winspit. Once you reach the rock climbing area you will see a sign for St Aldhelm’s Head. Take the coast path until you reach the silver monument.

Winspit is famous for it’s rock climbing opportunities and accessible spooky caves. The site is an old quarry that is no longer in use but has been used as a location set in the TV series Doctor Who and Blake 7.
